Possibly a single but weak weld caused a failure
Unfortunately after about 40 miles the nut that was welded to the tip to hold it securely in place broke. I was lucky enough to spot it in my driveway rather than seeing him hit another car on the freeway. Installation was fairly easy and didn't require excessive torque on the screw or anything, which surprised me to find it had broken. UPDATE: I contacted the company and they responded very quickly and replaced the tip with a new one very quickly. I'm increasing my rating based on this interaction alone.
