Review on 💯 Symmons Temptrol Valve REB Complete Rebuild Kit - Enhanced for Optimal Performance by Rod Evans

If I could give this product ZERO STARS I would. I haven't reviewed the products but this one cost me hundreds of dollars in plumbing bills. Although the spindle looks almost identical to the Symmons part, when installed it did NOT allow the maximum shower water temp to go above 104 degrees. After the plumber replaced this part with a genuine Symmons spindle, the temperature could be adjusted up to 110 degrees. (First plumbing bill.) After using the shower less than 20 times, we couldn't stop the water from dripping and then pouring out of the shower head. I had to turn off the water and wait for the plumber again. This time one of the small brass parts in the kit has failed/broken. The plumber said he had never seen anything like it. (Second plumbing bill.) Moral of the story: only buy genuine Symmons parts when doing your own repairs. This is quite a complex DIY project without the complication of mismatched or faulty parts.
