I have used this product both with a natural dry and with a diffuser. Either way works great for me. What I did find out after the first use, is the instructions do mean it when they say, to use an almond size amount in 'each section.' I did not do this the first time, and did not get the full curly results I was looking for. So, now I use 4 almond size amounts in each section per instructions in my barely shoulder length hair and get the perfect, no frizz, no crunch awesome curl each time in my naturally wavy/curly hair. I also do not need to use hair spray to keep the curl. By using a silk pillow case, I am able to maintain the curl for 2-3 days by just adding a touch up of water or leave in curl conditioner. I have thin, fine hair and this product makes my hair look much much thicker! People have commented regarding this. The smell is nondescript. I no longer need to use a finishing shine as this totally keeps the frizz down and adds a very low shine. I highly recommend.
