They can be made for glass engraving but I have used them for screen printing on a small craft box. I like that they are self-adhesive and leave no residue. They are more durable than you might think but hold up pretty well after use. Extremely detailed. I use an X-acto knife to carefully remove them from the base and project because I don't want to damage them. They peel off the backing easily, but sensitive areas may require support. This is where the knife comes into play.
