Seems like a lot of reviewers are having trouble connecting the device to the Wi-Fi network, it worked for me the first time, maybe the app has been updated? Ditto for "Set Time" in Daylight Saving Time hitting a device that was NOT auto-updated, but pressing the "Set Time" button in the app immediately updated the clock, although it doesn't automatically, with Daylight Saving Time is pretty easy. They also added a "Remove this device" button. to the app if you need to completely reconfigure the thing. The only connection failure I've seen so far was when my internet service went down for a few hours. When the internet came back, the device showed a flashing "No WiFi" icon and didn't reconnect to the internet. The device will continue to take readings when there is no WiFi and will transmit them all to the cloud when it reconnects. I fixed it by shutting it down and restarting it, then it reconnected. The device has a large, easy-to-read color display for the air quality scale. You can choose to view one of the quality metrics or scroll through all of them every few seconds. You can install it on the table or it has a screw hole so you can hang it on the wall. At first I thought the unit had a problem because the VOC and PM levels were much higher than the air quality meter in my Dyson fan. . I found that the problem seemed to be in the table where I placed the counter. This is a chipboard table so I think the VOCs and excess dust have been vacuumed off the surface. It's a 20 year old desk so I don't think there are still VOCs in it but when I placed the meter on a stand about 10 inches from the desk ALL readings fell e.g. B. VOCs fell from 0.8 to 0.8. 15So if you think your readings seem too high, try moving the meter to a different location for a while and see if it changes. Of course, it's still not good that my desk emits VOCs, but the level in the room is actually low, it only seemed so because the meter was right on the desk. It seems quite delicate and can pick up dust from the surface it sits on. Wherever you place it, you may want to vacuum or dust it from time to time to avoid falsely high readings. but that's to be expected (and it's a good way to make sure the device is working). The battery is supposed to last about an hour, so if you want to check the quality of the outside air, you can just take it with you for a while.
