Without going into details, I was involved in a tragic accident while waiting for the first responders which I and several other responders deployed the highway to warn oncoming movement of the situation and successful direction of movement, as well as the obvious use of emergency lighting. They may not be "lifesavers", but they helped us a lot. The fire service told us they appreciate the lack of triangles and also place them farther away when they arrive.
