The anodizing fades quickly within a year of ownership

Yes, like most things that are exposed to the sun, they lose their color. Sun bleaching is what most people call the process. I bought these paddles to upgrade my 2017 Outback switches. They look great, they feel great, but now that the color is almost a very dark brown they don't go well with black leather. I'm not overly concerned about that, but if I did know I could spend the extra money knowing the color wouldn't fade on a different product. The paddles themselves are a good weight. Shifting around corners just got a lot easier now that I don't waste time looking for a smaller paddle shifter. I have little to no up/downshift issues when pressing on the top or bottom of the petal. I didn't have any adhesion issues, which I think would have happened already if I had wanted to. I think only because I put them in during the winter. They also provide a second sticky pad for both blades in case you mess up the first application or whatever might have happened. Overall: decent quality. "Anodize"/paint fade. good weight Good materials. It's hot in the car in summer. Not so hot that you burn your fingers. Maybe just stay on auto until those suckers get cold. I would not buy again due to this fading issue and would look elsewhere for the same product. Maybe they just didn't choose black?
