These boys compression shirts are thick enough with fluffier fleece on the inside and smooth texture on the outside. They definitely true to size and they stretch very well to move well with the body while still holding their shape - whether worn under other clothing as a base layer or worn alone. I bought these for my special needs child who has sensory issues and finds them really comfortable. He refuses to wear clothes that irritate him in the slightest and prefers certain textures (he loves Under Armor shirts for example) so I was very grateful that he liked them. He even loves wearing them to bed with pajama bottoms! They make a really good base layer under sweaters in winter and they arrived with no loose threads or defects. They also wash very easily, don't pill, don't bleed (or shrink) and the overall quality is very good. You get two thumbs up from this household!
