I bought this unit for its versatility and ability to measure DC voltage and I wanted to work on some faulty landscape lighting circuits. Spring. The first day I used it I realized that it is utter rubbish when it comes to detecting DC voltage through any kind of sheath. Only the constant voltage this detector joke picked up came from some kind of stripped wires. Come on! Don't advertise that flexibility and then offer a flimsy product. I don't like it so much that I can throw it in the trash and forget about a refund.
