
OK. I admit it's amazing that for under $50 you can get a thermometer/hygrometer that plugs into your phone and home automation system. However, the claim that this is built into Alexa is misleading: it doesn't show up as a device in Alexa. , cannot integrate its data with other Alexa-enabled tools (e.g. when reporting average room temperature with multiple thermometers) and cannot be identified with a specific room. In addition, as shown in the screenshot, the temperature curve over time does not match the current readings. (In this example, the current temperature is above the maximum shown in the graph.) This ban is enough that I have to install ANOTHER hastily designed app on my phone just to enable the Alexa integration. Low quality adds insult to injury. If I were Revain I would tighten the rules on advertising that a product is Alexa compatible. Such half-baked devices spoil the reputation of the platform. If I had to do it all over again, I would just buy another Echo.
