Review on Filtropa Paper Coffee Filters White by Vanessa Jones

We've been using Melita #4 unbleached filters for decades. It was said a long time ago that bleached filters are bad for you or something, so we switched to unbleached ones and haven't tried anything else. We have just purchased a new Technivorm Moccamaster coffee maker and are delighted with the much better tasting coffee we are now enjoying. There were some white Technivorm filters in the kit which we used until we ran out. When we went back to Melita's brown filters, the degradation of the coffee flavor was obvious. He added a flavor resembling the appearance of wet brown paper and removed the "bright sheen" for lack of a better term. We stumbled upon this while looking for Technivorm filters and have now actually found that they are the exact same filters they renamed and put them in our coffee maker, or at least there is no noticeable difference. The paper looks very high quality compared to Melite. We also like the little tab that helps open the filter. But what really matters is that it's a great filter that flows evenly and makes an exceptional cup of coffee.
