The A7C can be safely mounted on this cage, but the buyer should be careful. You didn't make the back of the frame around the camera's battery compartment big enough to open the battery compartment with the camera installed. Can you imagine having to disassemble a camera with a monitor and microphone by the cage just to insert or replace the battery? It was a deal breaker for me. I can't believe Smallrig makes and sells this cage. I am returning the cage for a refund. I don't think anyone has tested its design to work with a camera. I'll have to wait until another company makes a cage that works. I couldn't find an alternative to the A7C camera cage online.
