Review on Rework Station for Desoldering and Soldering by Andrew Woodruff

Was happy to receive my new toy. As I unpacked the box, I noticed that all the parts look and feel solid and well made. I turned on the fan and it worked like a charm. Heats up quickly and automatically lowers the temperature when you put it on to keep the heating element on until it goes into sleep mode (extra heating element included). When the fan is removed from the stand, the temperature returns to the set value. The soldering iron also heats up quickly. I am impressed with the craftsmanship and technology of this device. I would love to find a good, durable carrying case to store this device and expect the device to stand the test of time. PS I used to work as a component level technician at Motorola and even though we used industrial equipment that was on all day this just brings me back. FYI, I don't think this is meant for all day industrial use, but I'm happy nonetheless.
