So easy to use does a great job spiralizing

So my review will be short and sweet because all I've used it for so far is spiralizing zucchini but if that's all I do ever had I will be completely satisfied with this product! I have a manual spiralizer and although it makes a good spiral zucchini, it takes forever and is very tiring on the hands. It took me almost 7 minutes to roll 4 large zucchini and when I was done my hand started cramping. I've been making a lot of zucchini pasta lately, and every time I've cooked a meal I didn't expect it to spiral out. So I asked for one of these for Christmas this year and my wonderful husband-in-law got it for me. What a joy to use. Serious! It simply snaps onto the blender and spirals zucchini quickly and evenly. And cleaning couldn't be easier. Only two small parts that need to be washed under warm water. I can eat 4 large zucchini in about 2 minutes and my hands feel great! The only point of criticism is that I would have liked another attachment for thinner coils. My hand-held spiralizer made zucchini strips about 1/4 inch thick, this one is closer to 3/8 inch. But that's just a minor complaint. The car is fast. Once you've set the zucchini, you can turn the mixer up to 10 and just fly through the zucchini. There's about 1/2 inch left at the end (as you'll see in my video), but I just slice them up and add them to my pasta dish. Items neat, safe and organized. It has a magnetic snap on the front flap to keep it closed and all parts are separated by a foam pad. Very well designed. It's not a cheap device (my portable spiralizer was around $8), but it's a very well built and efficient device that should last for years and make cooking a lot easier. I'm looking forward to next fall when we start drying a lot of apples, but now it's zucchini! 10 Update /8/17: I finally got a chance to use the apple peeler/slicer attachment. There were about 40 apples to dry, so I had to slice them. The plane is so great! I used to use a hand operated peeler/slicer and it was agony. The KitchenAid version is It holds the apple well on the tool, peels perfectly and the slices come out perfectly with the core remaining on the slicer. It splatters the apple juice a bit, so I found that wrapping a towel around the base of the blender and using my hand as a shield behind the apple while the slicer goes through saved a lot of time on cleanup later. Spiralizer and Slicer I can safely say that if you need to perform any of these functions in the kitchen, this is a must-have for your KitchenAid. Excellent investment. details hold up well.
