I was very disappointed. I bought this primarily to spiralize sweet potatoes. Didn't work at all. The skewer turned in the potatoes and the spiralizer attachment did not hit the potatoes.

I use it several times a week. I've used zucchini, turnips, rutabagas, parsnips, turnip greens, sweet potatoes, and more. I've read complaints that the spear doesn't grip the veggies tight enough. I always make sure the javelin is fully inserted, even with smaller javelins. Holds up well once everything is installed.

Great idea, poorly done. Kitchenaid's claim that it is "premium metal construction" is FALSE. The blade carrier is made of plastic that bends and deforms. As a result, the cutter heads quickly begin to press against the long drive screw. Because it's so cheap and flexible, you can't successfully peel anything tougher than an apple.
