I bought two of these, one for me and one for my husband. We've both been using them for two weeks now. They are very strong in every CD player slot of our car. I used to have both a windshield mount and an air vent mount. This type is my favorite as the windshield mount keeps falling off in the summer heat and I don't like my phone blocking the vents. The windshield mount I had previously made it easy to slide the phone in and out of the mount. This one covers a lot less sides of the phone though, which is nice. Other mounts I've had made moving the phone around a bit easier. It can be difficult or even impossible to position the phone exactly where you want it. This works well enough for me as I can usually position it pretty close to the corner I need. If it were easier to position the phone exactly where you want it I would give it 5 stars. The mount can hold your phone in both portrait and landscape modes. My husband has an LG G3 which is a big phone and he has an Otterbox which makes it even bigger. This mount can hold his phone even when the Otterbox is activated. I have an HTC One M9 with a thin rubber case and this mount holds it with no problem.
