Review on 🧥 Columbia Ascender Softshell Hooded Jacket by Esvin Hopuhnopuhlis

Hood is annoying but otherwise good jacket

I had this jacket about a year ago. Worn hundreds of times in all weathers. I walk my dogs and travel on foot. i hate the hood When it's windy, it blows right off your head. It cannot be customized. Velcro on the back is useless. Lately the zipper has stopped constantly clenching the jacket's teeth, which is annoying but I can usually get it to work. I like the weight of the jacket and the presence of 3 zippered pockets. It's warm enough that when it's raining and 40 F I can wear it with just a short-sleeved t-shirt. I can add a layer and wear it when it's cold. It fits better than the Columbia fleece I have. Apart from the fact that the flash sometimes misses, it holds up very well. I just washed it for the first time and it looks brand new. If you don't care that the hood isn't adjustable, this is a great jacket. I'm replacing it with a Baleaf jacket as it has an adjustable hood and an extra arm pocket.
