I bought this for my wife to use in the bathroom where there is no outlet. She says it puts out a lot of light, the magnification is perfect for applying makeup and the quality is excellent. It is also nice that the mirror can be used both with the supplied power cable and with batteries. The strangest thing about this mirror is that nowhere on the packaging does it say what kind of batteries to use. It's only when you open the box that you will find that the mirror/lantern is powered by 4 "C" batteries. For anyone wondering, the manufacturer also states that the battery pack should last at least 1 year under normal usage conditions. Bottom line, this is a well made product, it produces lots of light and has perfect magnification. I think most people will be happy with this item.
