Review on C16 09209 C1609209 Quantity Tonneau Supports by Dakota Afzalian

I have a 2007 Empty Topper that needed new gas springs. The original Suspa support is C16-23873A. I was able to find the specs for this model on the Suspa website: 15 inches extended, 10 inches retracted, 40 pounds of pressure, and 10mm fork lugs. Although the ones I ordered don't match exactly, the original moveable end is shaped at a slight angle and is 1" shorter than the new ones, they fit with no problem. I was concerned that the pressure of the new ones would be too much since I have both the tested both old and new on a digital scale. Each old one took 32lbs to fully collapse and the new ones took up to 65lbs to collapse by the same amount. I was also surprised at how heavy the glass was without support was lifting. After spending two minutes setting up the new props, I carefully lowered the glass. Since the new ones were an inch longer than the original ones, I wasn't sure if the glass would fall all the way down. Everything worked smooth although it now takes some effort to lower the glass glass now pops up very quickly but smoothly no need for my wife to hold the rear window while end she invites groceries. I am very happy with my purchase as if ordering them direct from Suspa they would be $95 each and they were under $25 for both. Thanks Revin
