My boy is 9 years old and I am a size 12 as suggested in the comments. Size 12 fits him perfectly. It's very soft and silky. Dries quickly and is very comfortable. Probably one of the best swim shirts for boys.

- My mom loved this shirt. It's thick enough to hide a son but will keep you cool in the pool or at the beach. Great color options too!
- Too loose for a rashguard.
