Review on Revolutionizing Cooking: Tenergy Solis Digital Meat Thermometer – App Controlled & Wireless Convenience by Tonya Zayas

It has its advantages but also its disadvantages. Consider both options carefully

This is a great tool for expanding your culinary arsenal, but it has a few important caveats. Pros: Great digital readings, good (but not great) application and accuracy seems good. I'm lucky I bought it when it was $20 less because I wouldn't have bought it at the current price. Caveats: 1. Do you really need 6 sensors? If your family is more than 2 people, more than likely. Not for 2 people. I've used them all, maybe once when cooking several dinners in one go. 2. Wires tend to tangle easily, like a kite rope, so it's hard to tell which is which when your oven door is open, and an urgency compounded by the heat blasting in your face will, not to mention "disorder." cook dinner(s). The product can be improved by adding color to the part of the wires closer to where they are wound. Ideally, cables can one day be replaced by wireless signal transmission.3. The loop in which the wire is wound is made of plastic and melts easily and quickly. Unfortunately, I learned this the hard way. Yes, an operator error, but also questionably constructed. It stunk for hours all over my house, smoke alarms went off and I threw away food and the pot it was in. In addition, the accuracy of the sensors also seems to have been lost. The app is fine, keep it where easy to find. You can figure out how to use it, but it's not the most intuitive. It's possible to set the target temperature by meat type and sensor color, although the colors can vary widely (e.g. yellow, orange and red are fairly close together) and in my experience, one sensor is usually triggered at a time. , you're struggling to figure out which one was powering it, and you're running your fingers through cable after cable in a hurry to find the right cable (there are three connectors on each side of the display, probably not the best design choice, and how mentioned , they get tangled easily) when heat blows in the face, meanwhile another sensor is triggered and chaos can be wreaked havoc.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Sad gear
