The press itself is all metal. The removable chipboard was wedged in for packing, but once I untied it, figuring out how to use it was easy. In general, the work of the press was satisfactory. The press loses, in my opinion, for two reasons. First, the press leaves a fairly large gap as it passes the clamping plate, which allows the fruit to be crushed through the gap, preventing it from getting the right juice. If it hadn't been in the filter bag it could have gone anywhere. Which brings me to the second point. The press is supplied with two filter bags. I used one to squeeze raspberries and jalapenos for pepper jelly. Just five clicks and the filter bag I use already has holes the size of a pinhead. It probably won't be a problem for most fruits, but I don't know how many more times I can use it. If it's 10 clicks, that's very disappointing. In addition, as shown in the first paragraph, the press cannot be used without a filter bag.
