A must have for woodworkers (buy another brand though)

I was tossing and turning between this model and the more expensive Bessy tape clips. I thought I could get 2 of these for the price of a Bessie clip. I'm making 12 beveled display cases and wanted to avoid nailing them down (that's 24 glue if you count). I'm on my last glue and I highly recommend these clips. Very well made, the price is around $14 each. If you doubt this purchase, you will not regret it. If you are looking for application tips, read on. It may seem quite cumbersome, but the whole process takes about 2 minutes. Do a test run to ensure the ribbons are properly adjusted. Once it is secure, release the red locking lever and loosen it about 4 to 6 inches from the reel side (note that the locking lever on the other side always stays locked). Apply glue to all surfaces at an angle, then loosely align the angle at an angle. connections on the table. Hold the tape clip close to the object. Line up the main corner of the clamp with a mustache and work around the project by aligning the corner blocks. Then pull the strap out taut and lock the red lever. tight enough you can adjust the 90 degree angles on the project if you need to center the clamp pressure (2 of my cases were 3" deep and the rest were only 3/4" deep). I also readjusted the tips of each miter that weren't perfect. I then rotated the clamp knob 1 turn and used additional clamps (where needed) to keep the project's "showcase" surfaces in the same plane. Then I rotated the clamps about 3/4 of their way. When you pluck the ribbon, it sounds like a banjo. Good and solid. Let it dry for 30-60 minutes and move on to the next glue. EDIT: Following the post above, I removed the clamps for 1 year. I pulled them out to glue a new project. The red cups literally shattered into a million pieces. Luckily my father was a metal worker and was able to replace the aluminum. But I would avoid this brand.
