I have a U620L USB modem. I tested this with a modem in my house without an antenna, compared to a modem in my house in the same location but with the antenna connected and the antenna outside on my patio. The antenna is not installed in a fixed location and is about 10 feet off the ground (although my house is 690 feet above sea level). Download speed increased by 50%. Download speed hasn't improved and may even have gotten worse (see attached table). Considering the price, I expected it to do little or nothing. But it really helps. So the only problem is that now I need to find a permanent place to install it outdoors and how to route the cable in my house! :)
