I had to replace the rear door stays on my 2016 4Runner after one of the luggage racks failed (less than 30,000 miles on my car). . I usually take my cars to the pros to get some work done, but after seeing the $500 price tag for replacing the storage racks at the dealer ($200 for the rack and $100 for the labor ), I decided to do the work myself. Since I had no experience with this type of exchange, the installation took about 5 minutes. I really couldn't believe how easy the exchange was. I used a ladder to support the weight of the door while removing the old support posts and putting in the new ones. The only tool needed for installation is a flathead screwdriver to loosen the clips holding the original posts in place. I can't confirm the durability of the new support legs as I just installed them but I'm very happy with the initial performance, price and ease of installation. Seriously, these baddies will save you hundreds of dollars.
