I wasn't sure about the use case but after keeping my feet warm and dry on a muddy wet gravel field I was convinced. They fit snugly like insulation should. So please consider the size of the shoe when ordering, keep my shoes dry and prevent dirt and rain from getting into the shoes. The seam of the zip is taped and the Velcro runs under the boot. The toe and heel are held in place by straps that could have been thicker, but I haven't noticed any slippage. I'm glad I had them. Dry them, run them in the wash, they'll be fine.
