East for paint, wall care and supplies

The first thing I did was read the back of a gallon bottle. It is said to shake it out for a few minutes. I have made. He said to remove the top to take the spout and flip it vertically. I put on a pair of latex gloves, took some paper towels, took the spout and wiped it off, then placed it in the lid, spout side up. Easy and without problems. Then I cut off the top by about 1/4 inch. The instructions say 1/8 inch. How does resin flow through a 1/8 inch hole? I don't think so so I cut it off 1/4 inch. The outside temperature was about 80 degrees. The resin flowed easily into the cracks I sanded before using this material. Take your time adding resin to the cracks and it does a good job. The color is brown when applied and then turns into a kind of black. It takes a couple of hours or so before it's walkable. The instructions say to dust it with sand to keep it from slipping. When caulking your driveway, it's important to know that black caulk won't stick to dirt! I can't judge how well it holds up. I just applied today. When I finished patching the tear I took it to my shop, took a large nail, stuck it in the grommet and wrapped the grommet in plastic and rubber. I think I would buy it again although I believe it is water based not oil based.
