Placement in my particular case was easy, I used an aluminum L bracket and cut it to size, then drilled 2 holes in the back to accommodate the glass holder provided and is held in place with 2 socket head screws. I didn't have to drill any holes in the car as there was already a hole from the factory. I attached the rubber hoses (also included) to the nozzles and then attached them to the can. I put the glass in the holder and measure the length needed, then I cut it. When I was done, I tightened everything up and did a wobble test to make sure there was no tinkling or clanking from metal to metal contact. I started the car and checked for vacuum issues and codes. Only time will tell how it performs but for now I'm really happy with the fit and finish. The hose clamps fitted in the picture cannot be seen, I added them when everything was fine.
