I had a new set of tires fitted and the mechanic said one of the rear shocks was defective and they could replace it for $$$. Instead, I purchased two of these shocks through my Revain app while waiting for my Jeep to run out of tires. They arrived six days later and I installed them that same evening and everything was fine. You will need a special grommet to remove the bracket at the end of the damper rod, or you can take a piece of PVC pipe cut in half and clamp it in a vice and then use a regular socket. I can't tell any difference in handling compared to the old ones.
