I recently bought a new truck and the tow kit was a little farther from my trailer than my old truck. This resulted in my old safety chains being too short to reach the hooks on my truck. They were a bit longer and actually have a better weight rating than my old ones. In addition, the hooks are of very good quality, as are the chains. What I really like is that the hooks are attached to the chains with pins, which means that if I ever find myself in the same situation again, I only have to replace the chains, not the hooks. The hooks also have a latch which is required in the state I live in and just offers more security than attaching to chains which can come loose. These safety chains were a good find and well worth the investment!
