Chain and most hooks feel strong and as advertised. The lip/trap is pretty damn weak, so expect to only use it as a hook, not a shelter/catch.

Latches broke on hook, only flexed a little and fell off on second use on chain, suggests chain is good and strong in review seems to be, but I would buy another set if I didn't have to try contacting support anymore.

The tow chains arrived in fantastic condition and lived up to my expectations. They were excellent value for money - even cheaper than trying to assemble my own chain kit from Home Depot! Highly recommended! Due to the fact that I have a new truck I need to add a hitch to align the trailer. As you may know, adding a lower suspension compresses the hub, making existing chains short. This velcro chain works incredibly well. In fact, this chain is much thicker and more durable than the multi-strand cables that come with the pendant. Very satisfied!

I use them as safety chains on a medium duty trailer with a load of up to 2 tons. They fit my needs perfectly, are sized for my load and certainly feel sturdy. The first thing I did with them was pull the stump out of my yard. Wrapped both chains around the base, attached them to my 4Runner and removed them. It wasn't a tree or anything, just a decent bush. The stump didn't come out on the first try, it held me in place. I tightened the chains and pulled several times but that didn't happen. So I went back and ran after a few tries which worked. I recently bought a new truck and the tow kit was a little farther from my trailer than my old truck. This resulted in my old safety chains being too short to reach the hooks on my truck.
