Review on Supercharged Welding Solution: Blue πŸ”₯ Demon E71T 11 Gasless Welding Unleashed! by Carl Givens

Unstable and more difficult to weld than other brands

Compared with Lincoln and Fourney wire, Blue Demon wire is difficult to make good welds. I bought a Fourney Easy Weld for welding 16 gauge canopy. The Fourney wire that came with the kit made good welds but ran out quickly. I bought a small Lincoln coil, the welds turned out good too. But instead of using everything despite the reviews, I gave Blue Demon a shot. There was an error. Some welds look ok. Many of them are almost impassable and I don't want anyone looking at them closely. The same welds worked great with Lincoln or Fourney wire. The problem with the Blue Demon is that the wire often loses an arc in less than 1/10th of a second. This leads to an uneven flow of the melt pool. And this leads to multiple bumps with very small gaps in the hardened weld. This is a real escalation. On another project I used it to repair my cargo trailer. It was 1/8" to 1/4" thicker steel and was used for tack welds. (The finished welds were made using 7018 welds.) Finally, I pulled out the Blue Demon and installed a Lincoln wire for comparison. Attached photo Two welds left of the Lincoln. As you can see the penetration is much better and the flow to the weld is smoother. On the right the two welds of Blue Demon. They have a lot less penetration, and you can see how it tends to pool rather than penetrate and flow properly. And those welds were two of my best that day with the Blue Demon. I've had others that looked much worse.
