They are loose fitting and run a bit large. My 2 year old goes from 2T to 3T on most brands and is 37" tall and weighs 29 pounds. She can wear 2T in this and has enough room for next season. Likewise my 4 year old goes from 5T to 5T or XS and she can wear 4T in it and will be able to wear it all summer long. She is 40.5 inches tall and weighs 35 pounds. They are very thin and silky. In summer they are ideal for water sports.
