Much better than the Fluidmaster brand it replaced. Let's start with Korky's reliable clip connector (unlike Fluidmaster's hook connector, which shifts about 40% of flush attempts and requires me to open the reservoir to snap it back onto the rod). Also, there's an excellent Korky seal that doesn't leak (compared to Fluidmaster's poor silicone/rubber choice, which constantly bubbles and lets water out until you cut the bubbles with a blade). Additionally, the heavy weight of this Korky valve allows it to fall back down (compared to the lightweight Fluidmaster valve, which stays open about every 10 flushes). At the time of purchase, even the price of this cork was cheaper than Fluidmaster.
