Years later with Thile.

The annual battery reminder also reminded me of its biggest problem. non-replaceable battery. To be fair, the Tile Sport is more stylish and durable, and it's also water-resistant; none of which are necessarily related to Rinex. However, the mentioned battery issue and the occasional connectivity issues made me reconsider my decision. Rinex has a subtle design with rounded thin edges. I would go for orange, there was only white. i think i'm ok See image for size comparison with (larger and slightly thicker) Tile Sport. The case has openings for speakers and a removable cover that protects it from water. Sounds worse than it should in most cases. I have it attached to my car keys and the key fob is unlikely to be exposed to water. If you plan on kayaking etc. stick to the tile. ;-) Pairing (iOS12) worked fine after downloading the dedicated app. Pairing is done in the app and does not require official Bluetooth pairing in settings. It also allows other devices running the app to record the device and eventually find your lost device in droves. (The tile has startled me several times in airports when it notifies me that my device has been found somewhere else (even though it's in my pocket). One smart tool is the remote shutter release feature for your phone's camera. You need to launch the app and fire it up camera from the app to do this. I think there may be a few occasions where this might be useful. I don't usually use it after the initial playtime is new and can't comment on it yet, but it wins if the battery lasts about a year and can be replaced without buying a brand new tracker.
