UPDATE! When I got mine it worked great a couple of times and then stopped. I found that one of the wires on the battery was loose. A quick touch with a hot soldering iron solved the problem. Then sometimes the paddle wouldn't rotate when I pushed the button. I poured the milk, removed the cup, and turned the spatula with my finger. He just got stuck. So now before I use it I check that the paddle is spinning before adding liquid and it always works great. See, it's a cheap mug, but if you take care of it, it will last you for years. First, do not wet the battery compartment and motor. Dry them as best you can and let them dry separately. Do not press the blade too hard against the motor shaft. This causes friction and is difficult to turn. Once you're seated, you may need to twist the paddle to release it. Have fresh batteries ready. Don't put everything in the freezer to keep the milk cold. I have followed these steps and after four years I still use mine frequently. Cheap, but if you take care of it, it will last a long time. Best $15 I've ever spent. love me chocolate milk! Get one! Or two! I paid full price. For mine and only wrote this because I still love it.
