This is a great little device. First, I use it with T-Mobile and haven't tested it with any other carrier. It worked straight away with my T-Mobile prepaid hotspot SIM. Speed is good, battery not as good as my old Netgear hotspot but works in a pinch. If you are not tech savvy you can just use it as is or you can go to the portal and customize it for yourself. The range is really good. I use it to hook up the TV in my art studio shed which is about 40 feet from the hotspot. And it works fine. Better signal than my Netgear Nighthawk M1 with my AT&T sim. I will keep taking this sim out and trying it in this router but I just didn't get around to it. I will update the review when I do.
