I received this information about when I need to change my air filter because sometimes we have wildfires and lots of particles (and presumably dust) around the house and other places to have. as soon as everything is clear. I wanted a high level of particulate filtration but not guessing when to replace it. The app works great for me. Easily connects to the filter and is constantly updated based on the current airflow. The app tells me I bought the filter in early April and it still has 38% of its life and is rated as good. It's early July now so I've got 3 months use and maybe a month or two left. Just take a look. Without it I would be paranoid and change filters every 2-3 months or maybe be stupid and wait 9 months because I wouldn't think about my filter and not know it wasn't working. I also really think they help with allergies and breathe better at night (less snoring). They're way overpriced (hence one star deducted), but considering the tech works and does something useful, I think they're worth the extra effort for the peace of mind and health benefits. (I have a 2200 MPR which I think is a Merv 16 or something like that - very good fine particle filtration which should contain particles from wildfires).
