Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great litter box, but not perfect.

Ok. I love this item. The price was reasonable (really in stock). My only complaint was that I wanted a bigger one, but the price was too high in comparison to consider. I bought one to test. And it was like a revelation. Wonderful! I pick it up and shake it a little. And voila! This is done and I transfer the remaining amount to the pan. It's really easy. You don't need instructions. Common sense will tell you how to do it. After doing this, I immediately bought a second one. Having 2 cats seemed reasonable. Now there are several reasons why this doesn't get 5 stars. Mind you, I don't think any little kitty will ever get 5 stars until some of the kinks are ironed out. This one is nearby. Partly because of the price ($11 at the time of writing). I love it. It's easy and fast. But there are a few things I want to consider along the way. One of them is the edges of at least one black pan that wobbles. It sits almost perfectly in the golden brown pan, requiring you to tug at the sharp plastic edges that are difficult to grip. I wish they made some differences around the edges to make it easier for you to grab and pull. Another issue is the screen pan itself. It has diagonal lines that leave enough room for dropping, but not big enough for small chunks. The problem is what kind of cat litter you use. Clumping cat litter leaves large clumps at the top that you can pull out but they will stick. They seem to stick to the holes and the bottom, so that's what it rests on. You'll need a scraper to get some of it off. If your kitty litter is like concrete powder, you know that $3 20-pound litter is bigger and doesn't really hold together. Instead, they start to disintegrate and end up on the bottom of the pan because they don't have the same adhesion as clumping ones. So I have to find a middle ground that holds together but doesn't stick. However, it's a lot easier than what I've done before. I've tried all kinds and this method seems to be the easiest. I'm not sure what cats prefer most effectively. But after all, a larger pan also gives the cat more space.
