This may sound very simple, but don't be fooled: they will help you change tubes and tires on the bike! If you service your bike yourself, you need a pair of these guys! I commute to the suburbs daily and ride my road bike across town. Sometimes I treat my bike a little rougher than I would like. This means that from time to time I have to change my cameras if my bike gets caught on a strut or a nail as I pass various construction sites (which are all over the place) in my city. I have changed my cameras several times without them and it was very painful and I even scratched my discs a bit the last time I changed tubes. After that I decided to invest a reasonable amount in them because they weren't too expensive. I couldn't be happier! This makes changing tires incredibly easy and they are not too fragile. I expect them to work for multiple tire changes and for the price you can't beat them! If, like me, you change tires or tubes yourself, do yourself a favor and buy a set.
