Now that I know how to use them, Pedro's tire levers work well and do not damage the rim or tires. When I first used them on my road bike tires, the tip of one of the tire arms broke. Then I noticed that the spoon shaped part of the arms that goes under the tire bead is much thicker at the base than at the top (makes it easier to get the bead under). Unfortunately I had to use them half a dozen times. They are great, durable and didn't break like others have said. I leaned in and stepped back as I pushed the tire off the rim for fear of damaging the rim with too much force or breaking the arm. The bottom line is that if you squeeze the tire lever, unless it's metal, it will break regardless of build quality. It's NOT carbon fiber so why expect them NOT to break when you reef them?
