Plywood. Unfortunately, this pen requires some creative effort to make it work. The holes on the two separate parts of the handle do not match, which means there are more holes and extra parts.

Pros

INSTALL IN 5 MINUTES. No holes need to be cut or drilled in the doors for installation. No leveling is required for double-sided installation. The barn door handle and lock kits take 5 minutes to install.
