Information notes not for long-term use. I use this for an inconvenient outlet so I can charge my iPad. Works fine for that. and I can keep it off the ground (away from prying puppy teeth). Since they indicate that they are not intended for long-term use, I'm not sure if I'm using them for too long or if there might be problems. if they are, I'll get back to you with an update. -- So far, so good.
