Ceramic heaters come in handy when you only want to heat a small space but unfortunately tend to irritate the eyes. The Honeywell HCE200W UberHeat ceramic heater bucks this trend: it's stylish and functional. It is also slightly more expensive than comparable heaters. The good news is that the heating works very well. There's a three-position switch for off, 900W, or 1500W. 1500 watts is only about 5100 BTUs and that's close to the limit of most 110-volt circuits, so don't expect to heat your house with these things . There's also a thermostat that's controlled via a dial, but unfortunately doesn't have numbered settings. To find the right setting, turn the knob fully clockwise, wait for the room to reach the desired temperature, and then turn the knob counterclockwise just enough to turn off the heating element. The red light stays on. The fan runs at a speed and the heater has a predetermined angle. As a safety precaution, it has a four-position rollover switch. I would buy a heater again.
