It was like day and night. My dog is 8 years old, a German shepherd mix, and has been pulling for most of her life. We use a front-connect harness and the line is always taut. It gets tiring very quickly. In the video I made we tried a spiked collar (I had to do a harness before/after but I'm only allowed to upload 1 video per review). The leash ALWAYS slacked with the collar. The collar fitted well and he quickly got used to the feeling of pressure. It's important to note that we only use the spiked collar for walking and not as a daily collar. The pens have rubber tips so they cushion the tips to reduce potential injury. I had to remove the pin to set it properly, but it was pretty easy to do. I just followed the item description on the Revain item page. I used my hands instead of pliers. However, this does not mean that the teeth are weak. They are actually very strong and I'm not worried about them breaking if my dog suddenly pulls on them. If you are hesitant to try this item, I would definitely recommend it!
