It looked like a worthy replacement for a device I installed over 5 years ago. This block had metal fittings for the pipe and part of the filter never leaked while in place. Eventually it started leaking and couldn't be repaired. So I ordered this as it was the closest thing to this particular device. I read the reviews so made sure to put more teflon tape on the fittings in the unit. It worked the second time I added more tape to the fitting. The filter part leaked so much even with the added lube. Since the leak was so difficult to stop, which never happened, I figured that every time I changed the filter I would end up with a nightmarish repair. I went to Lowes and bought another filter from AO Smith and it worked the first time. tightly installed. I found a higher price on Revain's website.
