The Crafter's Delight - restores my faith in HP!

I've spent months making the decision to replace my Epson 2200. I just couldn't deal with clogged printheads anymore. All other printers at my home and work are HP. But over the years I've been spoiled by the excellent color print quality of the Epson 2200 Photo. So I was really torn between buying a different Epson or getting an HP color printer. My SIL solved the dilemma when she gave me money for Hanukkah and told me to buy something I really need in my studio! I bought an HP Envy Pro 6455. The price was great (I had enough money left over to buy more craft supplies) and the specs were attractive. I have to say I was surprised by the Envy's print quality! In addition to making greeting cards, I am an avid planner and enjoy creating and printing my own stickers for my planners. The quality of the color prints is excellent. I use #28 paper for the planner pages and matte and gloss paper for the stickers. Envy handled both mediums very well. I was able to set up this printer in a very short time. I haven't updated my Mac OS so I had to find High Sierra 10.13.6 because the printer doesn't work on earlier OS versions. Once that was done, the rest was easy. The printer recognized my network and actually installed itself. I signed up for a canned ink program because I find it convenient, and after doing the math I know the plan I chose will save me money. I also liked the fact that you can flip through unused pages. I haven't synced my printer with Alexa yet or tried to use it with my Silhouette Cameo or Curio! If I do these things I will update my review. Today I plan to download drivers for my HP laptop and one or two other devices to see how remote printing works. I will incorporate these findings into my revised review, I have seen several reviews mentioning the lack of printed documentation for this printer and I must say there is no longer a need for huge printed manuals. With the help of the virtual assistant on the HP Smart website, I was able to answer all of my questions.
