Review on 🔧 ATP Automotive 106010 Engine Intake Manifold: Improved Performance and Durability for Your Vehicle by Michael Pickering

2000 5.4 with 190,000 miles. I had a crack in the connection of the passenger side manifold to the coolant which caused the coolant to slosh out and flood the two spark holes and valley. Bought this from Revain and watched a youtube video on how to uninstall the old one and the install was reversed. Also replaced the radiator and hoses and cleaned the throttle body, EGR tubes, injectors, fuel rail and A/C condenser until I had things. I paid a lot of attention to the torque when installing the header. Now the truck runs much better, with better throttle response and acceleration. Very happy. Take your time and do it right. I didn't buy the Dorman version but I assume they are exactly the same, or at least in design if you compare them carefully. Update (less than 3 months after initial installation): Unfortunately I had a leak on the passenger side. rear after installing this new manifold. I did two things to take care of it: 1) added coolant to stop the leak from the Prestone; 2) Tighten all the manifold fixing screws. Not sure which of these two solved the problem but it has now been fixed for at least 3 months with no problems after leaking with a new manifold. I think my problem was that I didn't tighten the screws properly the first time I installed it, even though I took my time. The second move confused her because of the jump from inch-pound to foot-pound, which is a big jump. And I was worried about cracking a new distributor. I'm still satisfied with the purchase and the performance, despite a small problem. Update after 2 years: no problems and no leaks. Lasts even after 10,000 km. Update: Almost 4 years after installation and almost 13,000 miles with no problems. October 2020: I only have 204,000, but everything is fine with the collector. I thought I might have another leak but it didn't come from the distributor. I had a bad deal with the heater radiator hose dripping onto the intake and making dome puddles in the valley. So far so good with the collector.
