When I received this fondue pot, there were leftovers in it. I cleaned it thoroughly and soaked it in water for two hours before first use and it worked great. However, after cleaning, I realized that the leftovers in the pot when I received it looked exactly the same and definitely belonged to someone else's meal. I don't really mind as I was planning on keeping them, but it's annoying. pay full price for something and get someone's refund. All in all a good product but beware you might get some used - I wouldn't order it as a gift!
