I'm glad I didn't listen to technical reviews. There are no complaints. That's for the best in the long run. iPad is nothing. I was concerned about the tablet's weight and size, but it feels good in the hand. It has two USB Type-C ports. So I can charge it from both sides of the tablet. You can connect many USB devices and it will work. External memory, printer, modem, input devices. and external display. It doesn't just mirror the screen like an iPad. You can use it as a standalone monitor and it matches the resolution, even 4K. I've used Ubuntu before. Yes, I gave up my laptop as a web developer thanks to Chrome OS app support for Linux. Having both Linux and Android apps on the same operating system is incredible. Even without GPU support (at the moment), Linux apps work just fine. I have Gimp for professional photo editing, Inkscape for illustrations and Sublime Text for programming. When GPU support is available for Linux applications, it will likely be possible to edit videos and play Steam games. Android apps also work perfectly. Many games run smoothly. Of course, since that big screen is new to the Android world, many apps don't look good in full-screen mode. I've had app crashes a few times, some apps won't start at all but those are in the minority. I hope app developers pay more attention to larger screens and x86 processors. I'm also impressed with Google Assistant on this device. It's so fast that I sometimes find it easier to launch apps and websites with Assistant, especially when I don't have a keyboard connected. I also find it very useful to find documents in Drive. But unfortunately it opens it in Chrome and not the Files app, so I can't open the file in another app this way. I also like the power of Chrome OS. It's so fast even with the Android and Linux apps working. Applications launch instantly, multitasking is excellent. I've never turned off my device, but it boots up in 5 seconds. Some UI animations are not 60 fps :) but this never affects interaction time. Ease of use is fast. I hope the animations get smoother with updates, but I don't care, it's not a game. Chrome OS settings are too easy. You can't customize things much. There is no way to set a timer for the screen to turn off. However, some missing settings can be changed using Chrome extensions and flags.
